Do you use pedal when you play Bach on the piano?

there absolutely *no* reasons *not* so...

sustain pedal integral part of instrument , such **has** used whenever there's **need** use it, whatever repertoire being performed. piano not have imitate/sound harpsichord, clavichord or organ nor other instrument matter - it's piano!

of course, use of pedal 'quite' different depending on specific *piece* you're playing (and yes, j.s. bach , debussy approached differently!)

best,

raymond

edit add: no pedal in bach... well, let's see:
- glenn gould: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2ymst3yf... (from 1:27 on)
- andrĂ¡s schiff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3auucdjw...
- angela hewitt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocnenbenh...

take closer right foot on sustaining pedal.

enough ''no-pedal-in-bach'' n-o-n-s-e-n-s-e. it.

rest case.
