Why are russian drivers so crazy?


drive them. have american's perspective (or whatever country living in). there strict lessons obtaining license. god-son got his, (20 yrs old), told father "no 1 knows how drive, fools".
have been driving since 1994. no matter have done, have been beeped at, lights flashed or fist shaken @ less ten times. in russia, watch road, constantly. not gaze @ passing scenery, watch passing car coming around bus or truck traveling closer speed limit 99% of cars, coming @ you. , car behind passes you, ride 1/2 centimeter edge of oblivion or asphalt, whichever there, , watch mirrors miss millimeter 2 passers meet making 4-lane narrow, 2 lane road. see this. live or die in it.
why? laws have been lax in enforcement. (used russian joke- roadsign picture of people walking on mean? answer: nothing) now, 1000 rubles, $30, fine pedestrian walkway infractions , people let walk. (usually- bowed , waved fast car thru school crosswalk today) speeding ten years ago 50 rubles, or $1.61. got few still hated pay.
why? also, there no "driver's record" until last year or so. have got 50 tickets in month , paid them , had no problem.
yes, russian drivers best have ever encountered. drive fast, carelessly, don't care do. there no road rage. says lot. move on if necessary.
lately, made maneuvers allow other drivers easy-out, flash hazard blinkers. had never seen "thanking" on russia's roads.

i looking on youtube car crash accidents , vast majority of videos found russia. me, looks russian drivers don't know basic rules of driving, how possible?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
