What is the point of online check in?


several points:

many people check nothing. having checked in online, proceed directly security.

on airlines southwest, check-in order determines boarding order , hence seat selection.

on airlines first opportunity (at least non-elite passengers) try improve seat assignments.

many airlines offer "bag drop only" position @ counter may quicker regular check-in.

if 2 people traveling together, 1 can dropped off check 2 bags while other arks car , speeds through terminal being checked in.

you still have go baggage drop desk , queue what's point?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
