How do hunters carry all that meat?


i'm avid hunter , have been quite time, father , his. it's matter of technique, preference, animal, , of course physical stamina. father , country hunters, hiking deep mountains of washington , packing animal way out again. standard example, can google image search "colton graham deer" , you'll see massive mule deer taken 6 miles eastern wa bush @ 5000ft elevation. animal de-boned, cut manageable sizes, wrapped in cheesecloth prevent mess, , stuffed 3 peoples backpacks, carried part of hide, head/antlers, , 40lbs of meat. pack totaled 90lbs. dad's pack weighed 70lbs meat, , our friend packed 60 lbs of light camping gear.

cartain parts of animal left behind, parts of hide, rib cage, entrails, etc. pack weighted high center of gravity allow weigh carried on ones shoulders instead of ones back. couple being fit , physically conditioned, it's not extremely hard.

more extreme example: dad went bear scouting (looking not intending shoot) himself, presented easy shot @ bear, , shot. de-boned, skinned, , packed rifle, meat, hide (he decided liked hide cuz beautiful cinnamon instead of black, black bears brown , blonde), , head home himself in 1 trip @ freaking night. weighed pack when got home. 170lbs. granted small black bear, still ridicuous, did mention he's 53? yea, sore next morning. it's experience , being tough , enjoying challenge, people wouldn't or couldn't, , that's fine me.

i want start hunting wondering. how hunters alone on foot , travel far car/truck haul meat deer. live in california, have take meat or not. can put meat in plastic bag in backpack or messy?
