Why do Australians have a "if it aint broke, why fix it" mentality towards issues?

change changes sake not better society make. best decisions evolve on time , not instant revolutions. australians know tinkering around works cause break , never work again. when things have change want make sure done right. australia has had culture of distrusting authority figures since arrival of convicts in late 1700s. politicians until today have done little change opinion. both sides of parliament have been guilty of being short of vision , shorter on delivery. not australians don't care problems being fixed, care more the "fix" not become problem.

it because lazy or uncaring don't want bothered fix problems?
