A student is lying about me?

first year teacher in upper grade classroom (4-6). during second month of school, parent contacted principal - furious - because said profiling son (i refer him john) , mistreating him @ school (keep in mind son , same ethnicity). principal, parents, john, , met 1 morning (an hour out of teaching) talk things over. apparently john had been twisting things had happened @ school. example, during basketball @ recess john had ball tucked in arms , student grabbing @ - trying away him. boys started arguing. talked both boys , saw john worked up. face red , had been screaming @ other student. calmly told john upset , needed sit down cool off. gave him hug before sat down! john went home , told mom boy had punched him while making shot , sent john principal's office. during meeting, asked john retell these scenarios (there others well) in front of adults. me present, couldn't lie. so, mom got hear truth. both parents seemed little embarrassed , ended meeting on terms. (stupidly) gave cell phone number if ever had other concerns.

since meeting in september, there other scenarios mom upset, , had called me during weekends complain. felt had walk on egg shells around son. other issues happened after initial meeting small (in opinion) , of similar situations. because students again dishonest happened @ school. there few times student cursed @ students or said inappropriate , given detention time. mom called wanting know punishment of other students involved , upset son had consequence.

mom went long time without contacting me. had parent conferences. had list of things had happened in previous months when hadn't contacted me wanted talk me @ conference. said tried let them go, wanted bring them attention. listened complain decisions had made or things had done months ago. did best answer questions , address concerns based on remembered. again, felt had left on terms.

these parent conferences 3 months ago, , in past week students has been removed class. mom did not contact me or tell me why. has been asking getting son moved since beginning of school year, principal adamant him staying in class. principal has been on side since start. professional in how talk @ school (children included). careful not scold students in front of peers , talk them respect. principal told me mom not going let go, , if refused make both bad. said should consider break , not worry because have done nothing wrong.

trying think of made mom upset. there incident during pe on friday before john moved girl bragging him inappropriate things, , cursed @ her. sent both of them office because in middle of teaching pe, , thought situation best handled vice principal. thought must have it. told principal this, , told me mom wanted john moved because said had sent him outside because of temper (i never students - against school policy), , john said yelled @ him laughing nervously (he laughing @ student couple weeks ago, , told him stop. closest situation can think of).

student in class across me, can see him classroom everyday. have loved children having hard time one. upset has happened , feel reputation professional being tainted because of student making lies me. first year teacher, working hard best rehired. teachers out there have been through similar-type situation can give me advice? sorry long, appreciate advice have offer! thanks!
