What is a reasonable allowance for a 12 year old belonging to a middle class family?


nephew 12 , gets allowance. amount depends on chores does. more higher amount.

normal chores

make bed every day
keep room clean (must totally picked friday)
feed , water pets
put dirty laundry in hamper , bring washer when asked
put own dishes in sink after meals

gets $8 every 2 weeks doing those. gets $.50 per chore if following

sweep , mop kitchen floor
sweep own room , younger brothers room
empty small trash cans outside trash , put new bag in each can

chooses if chores. few times has decided not them.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
