What is the difference between TB and GB for an external hard drive? Any brand advices?


lots of information above none quite simple enough
tb lot bigger gb
1tb = 1000gb (pure marketing, technical talk not include formatting lose few hundred mb)

goes500gb < 750gb < 1tb < 1.5 tb hope helps.

edit: brands offer same warranty, there's not of difference between western digital , seagate.

i want buy external hard drive online have no idea difference between tb , gb. know capacity of storage don't know how each 1 is? know? way, brand advices? thank you.
