Can you hook an alternator to an electric motor and have it charge the batteries as it runs?


simpler that. if go down hill motor generate , charge battery. problem battery efficiency if use super capacitors instead of batteries able re-coupe of energy. clever electronics can power when brake bit expensive. simple bike mode of transport , has little room improvement. did assume not trying invent perpetual motion machine.

or bike generator (or same alternator, im new @ this) im starting project electric bike, , looking ways keep running longer 3 or 4 hrs runs now...will idea work or else have ant better ideas without breaking bank.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
