At what point does an airport have to stop large, commercial aircraft from landing because of high crosswinds?


depends upon captain's decision.every aircraft has "crosswind limit" more tolerable others.but there other factors take account,experience,what weather @ alternate.....ect.

there 1 occasion when had no other nightime airfield in range divert, , had land cessna 152(max cross wind component 17 kts) in crosswind of 22 gusting around 30 kts.

i'd imagine @ times calculated risks taken on commercial traffic aswell.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
