How to deal with a rusty chain?


"wd" in wd-40 stands "water displacement. not lubricant.

oil has 3 properties --- obvious lubrication, clean & cool. or, c.c.l. - clean, cool & lubricate. ever have dirty, greasy hands? 1 of best things rid of dirt clean oil. oil cools moving parts. without oil, friction & heat builds up. therefore, oil cools moving machined parts. , obvious lubrication.

time new chain. , have (bike mechanic) check derailleurs & gears. use proper bicycle chain oil (where else?) authorized, independent, knowledgeable, friendly, local bicycle shop!

i decided ride in crappy weather few times winter , chain rusted(along other parts) long keep using wd40 alright?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
