tigers found in asia, india russian far east. tigers inhabit areas forest cover, water, , plentiful prey, these habitats can tropical rainforests, oak forests, evergreen forests, woodlands, mangrove swamps, grasslands savannahs, , rocky country.

tigers largest members of cat family. @ 1 time there 8 subspecies of tigers since 1950’s 3 have become extinct. deforestation , hunting have reduced tiger populations. in addition tigers sadly hunted trophies. many tiger body parts used in traditional chinese medicine have caused dwindling numbers. 5 remaining tiger subspecies endangered , under protection programs.
