What is point of dividends?


that's bearish view (pessimistic in stock market terms). absolutely correct in observation when comes noncompetitive advantage stock poised doom. vice versa market values companies in near term can cause great company fall. finding intrinsic value of stock , buying cheaply dividends wonderful because free income own stock additional longer-term growth.

if stock goes down reflect paying out of dividend anyway? thought dividend reward shareholders kind of fixed income, if share price goes down cancel out dividend, what's point?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
