* real power of government vested in prime minister. queen acts on advice.
* new zealand makes laws through parliament. unlike us, has 1 house in parliament. removed senate many years ago.
* there no states, provinces or counties within new zealand.
* new zealand capital, wellington, not have own territory.
* because head of state of new zealand ceremonial , appointed, don't budget deadlocks between head of state , parliament on occasion between president , congress. country doesn't stop because nobody sign money bills.
