Why don't more surfers wear life vests?


in large waves wouldn't wise wear floatation vest around body? mean aren't bulky , fit around body without impeding surfer. 1 thing when held under couple of sets naturally floatation device propell after waves has diminshed. if tired can rely on hold up. lets knocked unconscious , don't have device, dead. @ least have better chance these devices
