Mouse in my room, HELP!!!?

there have been sightings of mouse within last week in university halls , i've been woken loud scurrying scratching noise coming other side of room. it's freaking me out , don't know do. can't go sleep i'm scared out of end. mouse if saw me or turned light on? , how rid of it? go in day? me pleaseeeee!!!!!
