How to charge the nose gear shock strut of a boeing 747?

take cap off schrader valve, grab 5/8" or 3/4" wrench , open up. make sure tail , belly have clearance before , watch don't pass out nitrogen.

hook nitrogen bottle, turn regulator zero, crack bottle , dial regulator. imagine you'd need @ least couple hundred pounds. listen sound of inflating , watch strut rise. when correct height, use wrench close schrader valve , turn off , disconnect nitrogen. can use pressure gauge check if have 1 on nitrogen line , figure manual, otherwise might take tweaking.

detailed procedure either in chapter 12 servicing or chapter 32 landing gear of 747 maintenance manual.
