I have a dance competition today however I get so nervous!?
have find "thing" keep calm. there's few people can avoid being nervous before go onstage. professionals nervous.
might not work you. people jump around nerves out. calm. stretch gently right before go on (like touch toes), shut eyes, , breathe second.
don't watch dancers onstage right before us.
if piece has story behind it, take minute connect song , in character.
think best thing fake being confident. don't feel confident backstage, fake it! pretend you're not worried @ all! if keep thinking how nervous are, you'll more nervous. trust yourself. you've rehearsed thousand times!
realize mistakes not worst thing in world. if mess no big deal. really, you'll laugh later. don't freak out messing up. if happens, it. learn mistakes.
moment when stretch isn't stretching, i've warmed completely. it's shutting out around me, closing eyes, , focusing. works me :)
ok have dance competition today, it's duet , nervous point forget dance on stage , stomach feels in knots! please on ways keep myself calm , how can remember full dance! please!
