Why are "conservatives" so bent on NOT conserving energy?


they're saying or writing things like:

"ain't no such thing peak oil. shale save us!" (failure understand difference between hypothetical reserves , usable flow-rates; see: 1970 u.s. oil production peak)

"idling engine many minutes uses less energy stopping , restarting it." (simply false periods on 30 seconds or so; no big surge of fuel needed restart engine)

"it takes more energy turn light off , on vs. leaving on hours." (bogus same reason engine-idling lie)

"hybrid car batteries & cfl bulbs major pollution sources." (they claim care pollution when mocking energy-conserving technologies, when fracking pollutes ground water it's no big deal)

why these people compelled waste energy, cause pollution , label "patriotism" or "god's will?" you'd think conservation conservative value. try answer question without changing subject taxes.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
