H.i.d lights and fog lights.?


fog lights never useful since people don't know how or when use them. turn them on in bad visibility , think it's ok speed limit. fog lights should turned on when visibility less 100 feet , traveling no more 20 mph. headlights should turned off when fog lights being used , on newer cars factory equipped foglights headlights automatically turned off.

hid headlights illegal on cars weren't factory equipped them , don't improve visibility. choice if want risk fix ticket or failed safety inspection , being forced remove them.

if hid lights , install fog lights not hid, fog lights still helpful or should hid?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
