How to quiet down a portable generator?


hi, box idea below fine except that, unless timber of box thick indeed un reduce noise , vibration much. sound waves have damped down in order work box lined insulation boards trick.

reflective coating (when used building house) reflect heat building have no use in job doing. when build box , line these boards should put reflective coating facing box rather generator. box should large enough ensure there 150mm gap round generator , should add 50mm hole in top allow exhaust fumes ourt. hope helps.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
