What is a numerical value?


quantity expressed number. number can integer, rational or irrational, positive or negative, real or complex, vector or scalar.

numbers (for example π or e or √2) represented symbol may convenient have "numerical value" such number, e.g. in order make calculation. such numbers irrational (like π) means can keep writing digits after decimal point, without getting repetition, , never finish.
