Please Help, trying to decipher if I'm being scammed as we speak. Craigslist - Paypal - Western Union?


hello , in advance time.
i've posted several ads in craigslist local pickup of furniture. received plenty of replies, plainly scams. however, i've got character, kengrandy@gmail.com(in case has run in him), replied ad, isn't local. referred item , requested additional pics. proceed paypal (which figure plus) replied. however, after sent him invoice $1000 (mattress), said needed favor, me invoice him $1750, , transfer $750 movers via western union. told him had no problem long money dealing with, or after payment processed. (this raised internal flag amongst spend $750 on shipping item that's $1000) received 2 emails paypal confirming pending payment $1750, wouldn't hit account until sent them 10 digit mtcn - $750 movers in ohio. replied him telling him that's not discussed , if trying scam me, move on. hope replies need sell, not sending of monies. should seller (me) ever have deal movers or asked transfer money them or pay them(and tack on paypal invoice)? scam? email looks legit, asking 10 digit mtcn of 750 release 1750 paypal. however, reply link on email, not going paypal directly. raised flag. assume it's okay pay movers courtesty buyer after has been processed (+movers fee of course) ? appreciate prompt attention towards this/my issue can't afford lose sale, yet can't fathom being out $750. thanks.
