Musician can play songs but can't make his own one?


piano teacher can play anything.
practises hardest songs on , on keep herself @ peak.
she's been playing around 70 years.
told me cannot compose thing.
, have been doing music 5 years, yet make loads of music friends , family enjoy, music gets marks @ uni, , game designer has got me making songs game. (i'm music guy, he's got teams working on programming , sound effects)

people @ making, @ playing, both.

assume we're talking person plays guitar perfectly:
still consider talented if he/she can play song can't make his/her own songs?
