What are the bad points of solar power?


cost , lack of load following. of 2007, effective cost of photovoltaic power 38 cents per kwh @ time when cost of coal power utilities 0.6 cents per kwh. note 2007 before 2008 led collapse of several solar panel companies isn't clear if costs have improved.

load following, because flipped on light switch or turned on toaster, sun isn't going shine brighter. sun shine when shines. in past had use batteries store solar power till when needed power batteries expensive , 50% efficient @ charging. today, can play trick power company called netmetering, sell power solar panels generate on day utilities , buy power when need them, use accounting battery. works because there more people not using solar people are. wind power, can not scale beyond point in grid.
