Why would cleaning my wall socket throurghly with ancohol swabs double my dsl internet speeds?


have adsl kept losing connecting in day time , dropping @ peak hours connect , drop constantly. have 30 year old wall socket , took allot dirt out of when reconnected doubled internets speed , has not droped out.

or other possibility phone company after complaining 3 days monitoring connection 24 hours , maybe installed booster or because dsl connects @ or above pay 3.8-4.8 megs when used connect @ 1.5 2.5 2.8megs or .800 @ peak times down rate upload never effected @ time.

ideas?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
