How do I find a vacume leak in my 98 jetta ?


have 98 jetta , check engine light on. had checked , computer said there leak in fuel system. thought gas cap new. cap have gone bad inside years time ? don't know. checked vacume lines , seem intact. i'll check again though. engine 2.0, 4 cylinder , runs pretty smooth. how can pinpoint leak when diagnostics can't give me precise part or origin of leak ? hate seeing light on when i'm driving.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
