My sons teacher says he can't "Think outside the box" & has no imagination. Help!?


has said son intelligent.. challenge word speller , advanced reader (he's six) has trouble math. there new curriculum introduced last year students "think outside of box" , meant them learn problem solve in different ways. problem son apparently has no imagination , having lot of trouble math now. how him see isn't black or white? i'm upset myself because realize how am. couldn't sit here , write fiction story if meant saving life! so, how him to? questions ask, games play, activities.. bring out imagination? don't want see him fail. tries hard being perfectionist hurting him. please help!
