Do eye exercise really work?

have eyes, left eye less sharp right. noticed when squint left eye, or when hold object close eye, next point trying focus @ in distance, image sharper. these simple eye exercises/ eye yoga work improve how sharp left eye is? , fish oil or carrots improve it? if not, will?
