Is it awkward to go alone to an artist's reception?


have never been one....i avoided both of last 2 chances coz myself. thought wouldn't know talk or talk, or other @ art or munch on snacks alone. awkward hang there myself...and what? artist give speech there (how long usually?) , take people through work 1 one? people come , go or stay whole time (about 2 hours or time have noticed event). people , strangers each other or know know each other? also, student , novice in formal arts..so wouldn't able make intelligent conversation other simple stuff may curious (and don't want come across silly either). want start attending these learning. encouragement , tips great make time easier me.

canadians have been blasting through mountains , going on or under waterways centuries - george massey tunnel under fraser river being local example. Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
