Why is wide prong on electrical plug, shaped funny at the end?


...what happened - older house - used radio of time on downstairs outlet 1 day, took upstairs use briefly ... when went take plug out of wall wouldn't come out... wasn't sure do, lightly yanked on until came out ... i'm quite when got out, wide pronged end shoved smaller side of outlet ...(basically got plug backwards) ... when got out, normal, ever melted @ tip.... radio still works, wondering if being melted @ tip if cause problem use @ other outlet in house?

what purpose of funny ballooning out @ tip of wide prong electrical plug? if part of tip melted off, .... radio still ok use? using create fire hazard?

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
