How cold does it reguarly get in New Zealand during the winter?


national park staying in??

in winter time varies in temperature can quite cold ie -9oc not unusual, particularly when have clear frosty night.

live @ top of south island has fine, clear weather of year, , during winter quite few frosts drop below 0 overnight warm 13 -15 in day.

further inland , upwards in altitude go, colder can get.

there occasional storms snow down sea level christchurch once year , in southland me more cloudy , wet compared live.

depends on staying in ie, tent, campervan, hotel or cabin. still prepared getting pretty cold @ night.

just wondering. planning stay in nationalpark (south island), year.
