live in military based large city , grandson has decided need "something" in case hit emp (electrical magnet pulse?) harm our electrical system. wants create "survival kit" including multiple lighting options - flashlights , lanterns, etc. have checked crank flashlights and/or solar powered lighting wondering kind of "shielding" used protect batteries. know? thank you.
