Why do radio stations play the same songs over and over?


listen radio @ work, , different stations put on known rock station in area , started notice trend. so, throughout day counted how many times played "absolute zero" stone sour. i'm not saying or dislike it, played @ least every 20 minutes, every hour! why this? radio jockey please explain this?
